Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International airport, meet and greet with our guide and directly transfer to your hotel. After check in, the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: JIMBARAN – UBUD (47 KM/08 HOURS)

Start your trip with a visit to Tohpati, which is known for its batik production and continue to Celuk, the centre of exquisite silver works and also Mas, known for fine woodcarvings. Enter Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali with many fine art galleries, and a home to a score of local and foreign artists. One of them is Agung Rai Museum of Art which has an extensive collection of paintings by Balinese, Indonesian and foreign artists in classic Balinese and contemporary styles. Afterwards, you can test your bargaining skills at Ubud art market prior to a visit to Puri Saren Palace whose royal family ruled Ubud from the late 1800’s until 1917. Then continue by check in at the hotel.

Day 3: UBUD – CANDIDASA (54 KM/08 HOURS)

After breakfast, we visit the Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) which history dates back to the 11th century. A fantastically carved entrance depicts entangling leaves, rocks, animals, ocean waves and demonic human shapes running from the gaping mouth which forms the entrance to the cave. We then head east to Kerta Gosa, or Hall of Justice, built in 18th century in Klungkung. It is beautifully laid out within a moat and provides an exquisite example of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture which can be seen in their ceiling murals. Continue to Kusamba, a fishermen village that also engages in salt making where you will also see colourful outrigger lined up along the black sand shores. The coastal road with full view to Nusa Penida will lead us to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave). This cave, which walls vibrate with thousands of bats, is considered holy, and a temple and surrounding shrines protect the entrance. Our last stop will be Tenganan, an original Balinese village, a stronghold of ancient traditions. You can see the local women weave the famous “flaming” cloth, kamben geringsing, which supposedly has the power of immunise the wearer against evil. Check in at the hotel

Day 4: CANDIDASA/MANGGIS – PEMUTERAN (189 KM/10 HOURS)

After breakfast, we visit Taman Tirta Gangga (Water Palace) which swimming pools and ornamental ponds serve as a fascinating reminder of the Balinese rajah’s old days. We then go northwest and stop in Putung to see panoramic views over the eastern bay. Continue through spectacular views of terraced rice fields to Besakih temple, located on the slope of Mount Agung, Balis highest volcano. It is called the Mother Temple of Bali as it houses ancestral shrines for all Hindu Balinese and a complex of nearly 24 temples. Our next stop is Kintamani presenting breathtaking views over the caldera lake, Danau Batur. Descending towards the north coast we go to Pemuteran.

Day 5: PEMUTERAN- FREE AT LEISURE

After breakfast at the hotel, we take you back to the South of Bali through the stunning rice fields of Pupuan. We transfer you to the airport or to your hotel where you continue your holiday.
