Day 1: BANGKOK—AMPHAWA

Upon arrival,

07:00  An early start from Bangkok to visit the Railway Market of Mae Klong where you can see fresh market stalls lying on both sides of the railway tracks. Witness a breathing-taking scene when the train approaches the tightly packed market, and watch vendors dismantling their stalls while the train passes through and immediately after reoccupying the rails.  Continue the drive to Klong Kone to experience life of local fishermen closely. This is an opportunity to study an eco-agriculture farm by long tailed boat through the mangrove forest. Visit cockle, mussel and oyster farms and see pick-tailed monkey which are on the trees and in the water. Take a short break on “Kateng” (bamboo hut) for a panoramic view while enjoying a delicious arrangement of tropical fruits. Return to the mainland for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue visiting various historical sites including Wat Bangk Kung, 400 years old from Ayuthaya period, covered with three kinds of ficcus trees and an old Christian church which was built in 1890 by French missionaries. Then, drive to Amphawa and check-in at ban amphawa resort and spa.  

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: AMPHAWA — KANCHANABURI

Breakfast

07:30  Depart for the Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak. The old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables, etc., from small boats.  You will also see traditional Thai houses, the way they live and travel by boats and riding on a small boat to experience the canal and floating market.

Continue to Kanchanaburi and visit the allied War Cemetery, the resting-place for over 6,000 allied POW. Then visit Thailand-Burma Railway Centre Museum, a realistic depiction of POW living quarters, with photographic, pictorial and physical memorabilia dating from World War II.   Also, visit the World - Famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of the Death Railway constructed by allied prisoners of War.

12:30  Lunch at a local restaurant            

13:30  Drive to Amphur Saiyoke to visit an ancient city cite found in the Kwai Noi River basin, Prasat Muang Singh, a Khmer-style ninth-century temple. The important discoveries made near the ancient city remains include prehistoric human skeletons together with metal tools, vessels and ornaments; brick bases of the Dvaravati period architecture; and the laterite ruins of the 13th century. Afterwards, drive to Resotel Pier to take a long–tailed boat on River Kwai Noi and check-in at river kwai resotel. 

19.00  Dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance and overnight at River Kwai Resotel

Day 3: KANCHANABURI — BANGKOK

07.00  Breakfast      

08.30   Take an exciting boat ride upstream to visit nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village, then return to the resort.

11:00  Check-out

11.40  Lunch at a local restaurant.

13.00  Take a historic ride on the Death Railway Train passing over an original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs.

14.30  Journey back to Bangkok.

18.00  Arrive Bangkok and transfer to the hotel.
